A Closer Look at My Pinterest Monthly Management Service

If you've ever wondered what it's really like to hand off your Pinterest, including the behind-the-scenes details of what happens, who does what, and what you can expect, then this post was made just for you.

Pinterest management is one of my favorite services to offer because it's genuinely one of the most hands-off investments a business owner can make. You keep doing what you're already doing, and I handle everything Pinterest. But I know "everything" can feel vague, so let me show you exactly what that looks like.

How We Get Started With Pinterest Monthly Management

We always start with an onboarding questionnaire and a kickoff strategy call so I can really do a deep dive into your business’s current marketing plan and assess how best Pinterest fits into it. The kickoff strategy call is exclusive to Monthly Management, while all services have an onboarding questionnaire that helps me understand your marketing goals.

This onboarding process is where we start building your Pinterest strategy. We use this time to answer questions like:

  • What's your main goal for Pinterest right now? Driving traffic to your blog, growing your email list, or attracting potential clients/customers?

  • Who are you trying to reach?

  • Once someone lands on your site from Pinterest, what do you hope they do next? Read more posts, join your email list, book with you, shop?

  • What kinds of questions do your customers have, and what are they searching for related to your business/industry?

The way a business owner answers these questions depends on their familiarity with Pinterest marketing and on how much they are already working toward marketing, with their website as the main point of sale for their business. I work with business owners at all stages of building their long-form marketing strategy. Knowing where you’re at helps inform which Pinterest marketing service fits best.

What’s Included in Pinterest Monthly Management

These are the things that happen every month to grow your presence on Pinterest. And I handle all of it so you don't have to.

Strategy and Planning

This is the research and content review phase. I do deep research on Pinterest to identify what type of content already exists in your industry, find important keywords, and review your long-form content, lead magnets, and/or products. This is where I figure out what content is going to drive the right kind of audience to your website to help you reach your specific goals.

This is also where I optimize your profile by making sure keywords are naturally woven in everywhere they should be, and that your boards are cleaned up and set up to perform.

Then we get into the ongoing deliverables.

Pin Creation

The creation process starts with designing Pinterest templates that are on-brand and optimized for your industry. Graphic design matters more for some industries than others. For example, food blogging, fashion, and kids' activities all have strong visual identifiers that play a big role in how content performs.

From there, I create all the copy and graphics for your content. Content gets created for a mix of your blog posts, lead magnets, and products (if you have them), following the strategy and schedule we laid out during onboarding. You get to review everything before I move into scheduling.

Scheduling and Publishing

Once you’ve approved your pins, I schedule all the content using Pinterest's native scheduler or Tailwind, depending on what makes most sense for your strategy and goals. I batch content two weeks at a time, so your Pinterest is always scheduled out and running in the background.

Ongoing Optimization

I'm consistently monitoring your analytics, trending topics, and important keywords to keep your account and content optimized over time. If I notice a trending topic you don't have content for yet, I'll flag it so you can create a blog post targeting it while the momentum is there.

Reporting

Every month, I deliver an analytics report where I break down what's happening with your content. I review what's working, what we're adjusting, and any notes on the strategy going forward.

Quarterly, we meet for a deeper review of your analytics and talk through any bigger strategy shifts based on how your content is performing.

Common Pinterest Monthly Management Questions

How long does it take to see results on Pinterest?

This is really dependent on a lot of factors, so it’s hard to give a clear answer. Things like how many pins you’re posting, what typical traffic looks like for your industry, and how popular your industry is on Pinterest, will affect how long it will take to see results.

What I really want to highlight is once you do start seeing results, the way they compound is unmatched. Your content that you create now will get traction 3-6 months from now but that same pin will keep driving more traffic to your website for months (even years) after that.

Do I need a blog or website to use Pinterest management?

You definitely need a website. There's no getting around that. And in most situations, I also recommend having a blog. If you don't have one yet, I'd actually suggest building that out before investing heavily in Pinterest marketing.

A blog gives your Pinterest strategy something to work with. It's where your traffic goes, it's what your pins link to, and it's how you create a steady stream of fresh, searchable content over time. There are always unique circumstances where it makes sense to get started without a blog, but for the most part, a Pinterest strategy works best when there's one behind it.

If you don't have a blog yet (or you're not sure what to write about), grab my free blog ideas for Pinterest guide! I share five blog post ideas for 15+ industries — all aligned with content that actually gets searched on Pinterest. It's a great place to start.

Will I have to do anything once we start working together?

Yes and no! You won't have to do any Pinterest-related tasks. I handle everything that goes into getting your content published from start to finish.

The things you will need to do are things you're already doing:

  • Keep creating your long-form content and publishing it to your website

  • Keep me in the loop on your marketing goals or anything your team is working on that might affect strategy

  • Keep sending emails to your list to nurture the new leads coming in from Pinterest

How is Pinterest different from other social media platforms?

The biggest difference is that Pinterest isn't really a social media platform — it functions more like a search engine. People don't open Pinterest to scroll and see what their friends are up to. They go there with intent — searching for inspiration, ideas, solutions, and things to buy or try. Pinterest actually defines itself as "a visual discovery platform at the intersection of search, social, and commerce," and that distinction matters for your business.

What if I've never used Pinterest for my business before?

Then I'm SO glad you landed here. I help business owners and content creators at every stage of their Pinterest journey. It's one of my favorite things to watch a brand new account find its footing and see those traffic numbers climb from zero.

And it's not too late to get started! There is still so much opportunity on Pinterest, even as the online space continues to evolve. A great place to start is my Pinterest starter checklist, and if you’re a service provider, I have a post on Pinterest for service providers. If you want ongoing tips and support while you're getting started, joining my email list is the move.

How to Know If Pinterest Monthly Management Is Right for You

If you’re thinking about outsourcing your Pinterest management, but still aren’t sure it’s the right fit, here’s some further guidance to help you decide:

Best for: business owners who want Pinterest completely off their plate, including strategy, execution, and everything in between.

If you're already in a good rhythm creating long-form content (blogs, podcast episodes, or YouTube videos) and just need someone to handle everything that happens on Pinterest after that, this is for you. And I mean everything: keyword research, pin graphics, copy, scheduling, and analytics monitoring are all covered.

I also work with you to make sure your Pinterest strategy connects to the bigger picture of your marketing — your email list, your social media, your offers — so your audience is being nurtured in a way that actually supports your sales.

This might be the right fit if:

✔️ You've tried DIYing Pinterest, and it keeps getting pushed to the bottom of your to-do list

✔️ Your website and email strategy are set up to nurture your audience, and you're ready to invest in consistent traffic

✔️ You want strategy and execution handled in one place

✔️ You're committed to showing up on Pinterest for at least a year — because that's when it really starts to take off

Pinterest monthly management is for the business owner who is done trying to figure out Pinterest on their own and is ready to hand it off to someone who lives and breathes this stuff. You focus on your business. I'll handle Pinterest.
